My 5 Favorite Beauty Products.

1. MAC “Whisper of Gilt” Highlight.

I’m a huge highlighter fanatic. But, it’s hard for me to find a highlighter that really shows up on my face, being that I am on the lighter side of the melanin complexions. If my highlight isn’t shining, then I get irritated and might as well wipe the whole face off. Most highlighters I use I have to apply a few times and work at it a few times just to get it to really glow. But, this is the first product I’ve used that I apply at least twice and it shows. It’s really pigmented and I use it not only on my cheeks but on my Cupid’s bow and to highlight my brow bone. Fair warning, it’s not cheap. It’s anywhere from $25-34 . But, I would highly recommend it if you love a good glow. Hands down one of my favorites and I would purchase it again.

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills dip-brow pomade.

Okay, so, I just got introduced to this product. I had heard many positive reviews on it. But, I never believed it and I wasn’t going to spend $18 on something that may not wear long. I used the Benefit Cosmetics “Goof Proof” pencil before this. If I had to choose between the two, I would pick ABH, every time. It is easy to use and it lasts longer than most products. Another upside to this is that for $18 you’re getting a product that you only need the smallest amount and the jar can last for realistically anywhere from 6 months to 1 year.

3. MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation.

I use this in the shade “NW43”. It’s medium to full coverage with a gorgeous matte finish. To get the medium to full coverage, you do have to build up to it. The bottle didn’t come with a pump like most of the other liquid foundations, I found that to be a little bit annoying. It is long lasting and for someone like me with dry/oily skin, it doesn’t dry my skin out and the product barely transfers. It is a step up from drugstore makeup. This is a Foundation I wouldn’t use everyday. Perhaps on special occasions. To be completely honest, I’m not even sure if I’d buy it again. I think people hyped it up entirely too much. Wasn’t worth the $30.00. If I had to choose between this and my L’Oreal Infallible Foundation, I’d pick my L’Oreal.

4. Colour POP ultra matte lipstick in “Limbo”.

This is a staple piece in my makeup kit. It’s only $6.50, which is a steel deal. It’s a beautiful chocolate brown shade, and I’m obsessed with chocolate brown. It’s hard to find a shade like that that’s really pigmented. But, I found it. You only need to apply a little bit of the product. A little bit goes a long way. It’s waterproof and smudge proof. The only downside is that it is a PAIN to remove because it does not budge at all. It’s great for if you’re out and don’t want to have to worry about reapplying but when it’s time for it to come off it’s like concrete.

5. Morphe 35O2 “Second Nature” Palette.

One of my favorite parts about this palette is that it was $23 for 35 gorgeous, amazing, warm tone shades. It doesn’t get any better than that. Every girl needs this palette in their makeup Arsenal (This is my 4th Morphe palette…shhhh). The shades are super pigmented, minimal fallout and they are easy to blend. It was love at first sight for me.
